I am one of the original co-founders of Building Healthier America when our primary focus was to facilitate and organize broad community movements to improve health and wellbeing through better nutrition. Our original emphasis was focused on reducing the impact of diabetes. Today I’m proud to be a part of our enhanced mission to serve families with children managing chronic illness or disability.
Over the course of my career, I’ve held a variety of leadership positions in program and resource development with organizations including National 4-H Council, Children’s National Medical Center, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Women, Points of Light Foundation, and the American Diabetes Association. Having called Virginia home for many years, I’ve recently relocated to North Carolina with my wife, Arlene.
